Who is Summer Camp for?
Summer camp is a combined camp for grades 6th through 12th. This includes incoming 6th graders and graduating 12th graders.
What can your students expect?
Summer camp is three days of sharing the love of Christ with students. The camp's mission is to instill God's love into every student and for them to discover God's plan for their lives. There will be activities, group games, worship, small groups, powerful messages, and so much more.
Where?
Rock Youth will be going to Pinecrest Christian Conference Center in Twin Peaks, California. We will be joining Socal Students. Socal Students are a collective of youth ministries in the Southern California Area.
When?
Our camp dates are Tuesday, July 28th - Friday, July 31st.
- Drop-Off
Students must arrive at The Rock Church for check-in from 12:30pm-1:00pm on Tuesday, July 28th. (Please make sure your students have eaten breakfast and lunch before dropping them off or have a sack lunch with them as they will not be eating again until dinner.)
- Pick-Up
Students must be picked up from The Rock Church at 1:00pm on Friday, July 31st.
What is the cost?
The cost of the camp is $350 per student. This includes the cost of the camp itself, the bus fare up and down the mountain, and camp extras. Registration is from Sunday, April 26th through Sunday, July 12th.
What is the deposit?
The $100 deposit guarantees your student's spot. Without the deposit, we cannot guarantee your student's spot. The deposit goes towards the total cost. Once the deposit has been paid the remaining balance due is $250 by Sunday, July 12th.
Is there a fundraising opportunity?
Rock Youth will host a Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser on Saturday, July 11th at Mira Mosa Park from 10:00am-12:00pm. Students are responsible for getting sponsors, walking/jogging/running laps, and then collecting the funds they raised from their sponsors. Students can pick up a Sponsor Sign-Up Sheet from the Youth 411.
What if my student needs to take their medication with them?
If your student has an inhaler or any other medicine they need to take while at camp, bring it to drop-off check-in. Please bring it in a ziplock bag with a note that states their full name and when they need to take it. Your student's Small Group Leader will hold onto it and ensure they are given it when it is needed.
